Glycolic Acid

What is it?

An alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sugarcane.

What skin condition does it help with?

Dullness, uneven texture, fine lines, assists for hyperpigmentation, congestion.

Which skin types need it?

Normal, oily, combination; sensitive skin can use low concentrations but sparingly.

Do not combine with:

Retinol, other exfoliating acids, Vitamin C (low-pH)

What are the common risks?

Sensitivity, burns, pigmentation rebound

What are the safe-use guidelines?

Use 1–2× weekly,
preferably evenings; avoid compromised skin
